Two words that describe Chef Kyle Hires of Atlanta, GA.

Chef Kyle’s passion for the culinary arts was ignited early in life by his grandmother and mother. In addition to his maternal influences, life as a military kid only refined his palate as his family frequently moved to different regions in the US and even spent time in Europe.  But like most of us, he stifled his passion and ‘safely’ earned a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Soon his passion for the culinary arts could no longer be ignored. Instead of being called to party, his friends called him to cook! Something they still do today!

He returned to Atlanta and enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.  After graduating at the top of his class, he worked and studied under Chef Tony Sharpe at the Life Café in Duluth, GA. His talents were quickly recognized, and he was recruited to be the Executive Chef for former Atlanta Falcon, Jamie Dukes’ Billion Pound Blitz. Following his work with the grassroots campaign, Chef Kyle steadily worked his way through the culinary world. Refining techniques, learning cuisines, kitchen management, and perfecting his craft. His resume includes Disney World, Florida Public Safety Institute, Marriott hotels and a 200 seat independently owned sports bar and grill. He even spent some time nurturing young talent as a high school culinary arts teacher in Decatur, GA.

Yet never one to be limited, Chef Kyle returned to his culinary passion full-time and launched The AfterGlow Experience. Clients vary from 2 to 500+ person events and include Victory World Church, NFL players, Atlanta Seminole Club, government leadership, celebrities, corporations and more. While his clients are located throughout the country, Chef Kyle calls Atlanta home where he resides with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling the world and experiencing culinary creations.

There is so much tied to food: memories, emotions, and feelings. To cheapen the experience negates the purpose of one of the most enjoyable experiences of life: Eating. 

If you still see it as ‘just food’ ask a person laying in a hospital bed who cannot eat. Ask anyone who has lost a loved one and would give anything to eat a meal prepared by their loved one again. 


We believe that every meal should be an Experience. Even our staff is carefully selected to further enhance quality of the experience.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing the wonders of Chef Kyle Hires and the AfterGlow.  These sweet treats are like no treats I have ever had before.  The combinations that Chef Kyle puts together make for a tasty surprise.  In addition to the AfterGlow, I have experienced catering by Chef Kyle and I can tell you that he is the real deal.  It is hard to find a Chef that can provide all of your favorite bites from appetizer to entrée to desserts…but Chef Kyle has pulled it off.  I would hands down recommend Chef Kyle for your bakery needs or any other culinary needs you are looking for.
